Cut to the drawings

We read the civil and engineering plans and work to the RLs on them. Not "about right" — the level the slab actually needs.

Benched and battered safe

Cut faces benched and battered to suit the soil classification, so the excavation stands up and the site passes inspection.

Cut and fill balanced

Where the block allows it, we balance cut against fill on site. Less material carted in, less carted out, lower cost to you.

How It Runs

To Clean Site

Plans and levels

Send through the site plan and engineer’s details. Blake works out the volumes, the cut depth and what has to leave the block before quoting.

Set out and strip

Pad set out against the boundaries, topsoil stripped and stockpiled or carted, and the working platform established.

Bulk cut

Platform cut to the design RL with the batters formed as the dig goes. Levels checked as we work, not once at the end.

04

Trim and compact

Final trim to level, then compaction so the pad is ready for the slab crew and will pass a geotech check.

05

Spoil and handover

Surplus material carted off, access cleaned, and the pad handed over ready for footings.

Do you work from engineer’s drawings?
Yes — send the site plan and engineering details with your enquiry and the quote comes back against the actual levels and volumes, not a guess off the street.
Can you handle a sloping block?
That’s most of Western Sydney. Sloping blocks get benched and battered, and often need retaining. We’ll excavate for the wall at the same time so you’re not paying for a second mobilisation.
Who removes the spoil?
We do. Prime runs its own truck and dog and tippers, so haulage is part of the same quote and the same schedule. Nothing sits waiting on another contractor.
How accurate are the levels?
We work to millimetres, not centimetres. Detailed excavation is the core of what Prime does — the pad is checked as it’s cut so the slab goes down first time.
Can you start before the builder?
Usually yes. Site cuts are often the first machine on the block. Give us the plans and the start date and we’ll work in ahead of the slab crew.
